This rustic botanical pendant necklace features a pine branch intricately sawn from sterling silver with the tiny blade of a jeweler's saw. It is mounted on an oval background and has been given a rustic texture. The sterling silver chain is accented with chunky moss agate stones.
The pendant measures 1-1/2" long by 5/8" wide. Along with a rustic hand forged ring, it drops 2" from the chain. The sterling silver chain comes in the length of your choice.

Moss agate is a gemstone renowned for the greenish filaments that seem to resemble creeping moss or other vegetation. It is a variety of chalcedony, belonging to the quartz family, and is often found as fragments from weathered volcanic rock formed in fissures or as pebbles rather than in traditional agate layering.

Prudent Man Plume Agate comes from a relatively new mine located in the Alder Creek Mining district near Mackay, Idaho discovered and owned by Steve Howard, who sadly passed away in 2019.
The Prudent Man deposit produces many beautiful plume agate patterns in colorful earthy shades. The name Prudent Man is a tongue-in-cheek reference to an old 1874 mining law called the Prudent Man clause, which states that claims are only valid if "in the judgment of the mine inspector a prudent man could make a living by working it." Steve Howard jokingly asserted that the government declared him an unprudent man.

Aventurine is a variety of translucent quartz with abundant small inclusions. Light entering the quartz strikes these inclusions and reflects from them. This produces a sparkly appearance known as "aventurescence." The green inclusions in the stone are fuchsite, a green, chromium-rich mica similar to muscovite.
