This Feather Ridge Plume Agate is filled with colorful filaments of soft pink, buttery yellow and creamy white. Wrapped in a serrated bezel and surrounded by a beaded border, it is topped with a layered flower with a rosecut Rose Quartz in the center. Leaves with tiny veins finish off the design. A curled leaf also serves as a bail. A surprise on the back side are a trio of flower cut outs with a floral textured background.
The pendant measures 2-5/8 tall (including bail) and 1-1/4" wide. It hangs from a sterling silver chain in your choice of length.
All metal is sterling silver that has been oxidized, tumble polished and sealed with a protective coating.

Prudent Man Plume Agate comes from a relatively new mine located in the Alder Creek Mining district near Mackay, Idaho discovered and owned by Steve Howard, who sadly passed away in 2019.
The Prudent Man deposit produces many beautiful plume agate patterns in colorful earthy shades. The name Prudent Man is a tongue-in-cheek reference to an old 1874 mining law called the Prudent Man clause, which states that claims are only valid if "in the judgment of the mine inspector a prudent man could make a living by working it." Steve Howard jokingly asserted that the government declared him an unprudent man.

Aventurine is a variety of translucent quartz with abundant small inclusions. Light entering the quartz strikes these inclusions and reflects from them.
