Natural Kazakhstan Lavender Turquoise, also called Golden Hills Turquoise, is one of the most coveted gems in the turquoise market. Its light baby blue appearance coupled with light brown to brown, to ‘lavender’ matrixes make it quite distinguishable. According to research, it is one of the most ‘chemically pure' turquoise to be found making it one of the most vibrant and sought after turquoise gems in the world.
Lavender Turquoise is found in the Golden Hills mine in Kazakhstan but is not easy to mine because of its location and environment. Due to summer flooding that takes place in the area, it can only be mined during the freezing cold of winter.
Care: As with all handmade jewelry, this necklace is delicate and should never be worn when showering, swimming or during strenuous activity and sports. Beauty products such as perfume, hair spray and body lotions should be applied before putting on your jewelry. Store your jewelry in a small box or pouch to reduce tarnishing.
