Priday Plume Agate Link Bracelet

A lovely, rare Priday Plume Agate is the focal for this sterling silver link bracelet. The natural stone, with black and pink plumes on a background of olive green and cinnamon, is set in a fine silver bezel with a textured border. Four handmade links in a variety of shapes and designs add unique interest. Textured links complete the bracelet chain.

The bracelet is 6-3/4" long with a 1" extension and adjusts to fit wrist sizes up to 7". The agate focal measures 1-1/4" wide by 3/4" tall (not including side loops).

All metal is .925 sterling silver except the fine silver bezel. A patina was added to highlight the patterns of the designs. It has been tumble polished and sealed with a protective coating.

Priday Plume is a rare type of agate first discovered in the 1920s by Leslie Priday on his ranch near Madras, Oregon, later purchased by Richardson’s Ranch.  It is found in “thunder egg” formations which are chalcedony filled masses that fill former cavities in volcanic rocks. Most of the high grade plume has been dug out but some thunder eggs can still be found. Priday Plume Agate is noted for its multi colors and bright filamentous plumes, as well as occasional “fan plumes” that are truly spectacular.

Care:  As with all handmade jewelry, this bracelet is delicate and should never be worn when showering, swimming or during strenuous activity and sports. Beauty products such as perfume, hair spray and body lotions should be applied before putting on your jewelry. Store your jewelry in a small box or pouch to reduce tarnishing. To remove tarnish, use a good quality polishing cloth such as a Sunshine cloth.
